You do not need to ask for a job in Germany

You are the one to select

which one from various German employers suits best to your special preferences and locations that you like or where your relatives or friends are living.

Do it Yourself

HDB-Agents suggest – WHERE you might apply
and we show you – HOW to apply.

They told me WHAT to do,

They told me HOW to do it.

 I did it

In order to get a good and secure job in Germany, there are a lot of rules and regulations/requirements from POEA (Philippine Overseas Employment Authority) and BA (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) to observe .

Please understand:
HDB-Agents is not a recruiter and our free consultation service is not limited to just give you a few tips.

We know the best employers who  are hiring skilled workers or apprentices this year or later, and who offer you social security, equal treatment and also equal payment as German skilled workers or apprentices receive, so we can tell you which companies you can apply to.
We check your documents so we can tell you if they are correct and complete.
We will tell you how to write your resume, cover letter and motivation letter correctly.
We also check recruiting agencies in Germany to see if they accept applications for the job you are looking for without asking any payment for this service, and who will refer you only to honorable employers.

In any case, we tell  Philippine job or vocational training seekers how to get the examination about health and personal aptitude to be accepted for this job in Germany.
We will tell you where and how to apply for the required proofs, like health certificate, certificate of good conduct, birth certificate, or whatever is required by any Philippine or German authority.
We will also check if registration with POEA and OWWA is required for the intended activity and if a Philippine Recruitment Office with POEA license has to be contracted.

We will tell you if additional documents need to be obtained, or if incorrectly completed forms need to be corrected.
And of course we will give you the addresses and contact details of German employers, Philippine licensed recruitment offices and also German recruiters, authorities in Germany and in the Philippines, where you need to pick up or drop off required documents.
We tell you where to find language schools in your area, what courses they offer, how long the courses last and how much they cost.

Finally, we will check your documents that you need to submit to the German Embassy for an entry visa for accuracy and completeness.

If you will believe now that this requirements are easy to fulfill – you will be wrong.

But we make it as easy as possible for you, because we ourselves are Germans with permanent residence in the Philippines, we know especially the peculiarities of successful and best application modalities in Germany as well as requirements of Philippine authorities.

And before you decide to look for a job or an apprenticeship in Germany, you should know that first of all you have to learn the German language, because

only with German Language you will get a visa and work permit.

Of course this is not a problem for you, because there are many language schools in the Philippines where you can study and get the diploma to present to the German Embassy.

Some German Language Schools you can find in this list:

WLC, Winiger’s Language Center DAVAO, https://www.facebook.com/GLARCDAVAO; My Language Cafe, CEBU, info@mylanguagecafe.com.

Please note that this list is not complete, because we can publish only schools that agree to public disclosure of their services.

You cannot visit language school, because you are working or the next school is far from your domicile?
No problem again, just study online and have an exam in one of the language schools to get your diploma.
And if you want to start learning German now online, because you are busy or too far away from school, just click German Language Online here: https://hdb-agents.de/17-minutes-languages/. There you will find a button where you can order, pay and start immediately.

However, our advises show you what you can do – what you must do – and how and where it must be done.

Once you have received the visa from the German Embassy, we will tell you where you can find a good flight and tell you where you can order it and how much it will cost.
We will make sure that you are picked up at the airport upon arrival in Germany and taken to your accommodation, which will be already arranged, and/or to your employer.
We tell you how much you have to pay for the accommodation.
We will tell you by which means of transport and for how much you will have to pay to reach the place where you will be working and how long the travel time will be.

However, starting May 1, 2023 there is a new nationwide agreement where every person who wants to use a regional public transportation system, like bus, train, streetcar, subway, can buy a ticket which is valid in all of these transportation facilities in any place of Germany at any date and time during one month for a lump sum of 58 €. That means you pay 58 € once a month, and you can go from any place in Germany to any other place in Germany at any day, as often as you like with any kind of public regional transport facilities.
There are many places where you can buy this Deutschland-Ticket (short D-Ticket) but you can also just buy it online and store it in your smartphone.

We will tell you also the location and address of the relevant immigration and employment office, where you can obtain a residence permit and work permit and, again of course, how much it will cost.

You can also communicate with us from and in Germany at any time via email, social media or phone, ask questions and request help with private queries or problems with employers or authorities.
As often and as long as you wish.

This is what we spend our time on, so we can tell you how to apply and where to apply, what you need and what else to do or not to do.

But you don’t need to know all of that by yourself, because

YOU KNOW THE ONE WHO KNOWS – HDB-Agents

We will give you an idea about the difference.

Do you really want to work in Germany?

German employers are looking for you, but you will get a job only if you can adapt to the German application and work characteristics.
The quality of the job you will find depends solely on the quality of your application and your personal appearance..
And always it starts with the application after you have found an employer that comes closest to what you have in mind.

Most German employers prefer an application received by email, attached all relevant documents, rather than an application by a postal letter.
All forms must also be available as originals upon request and when you are invited for an interview.
This results in the fact that the distance from your home to the workplace plays a subordinate role.
You expect that all you have to do is type a few words with your data and send it off? Far from it.
An application sent by e-mail must look exactly the same as an application sent by mail, which is contained in an appropriate application folder.

Email Application Example:

Cover letter    +   Cover sheet    +   Curriculum vitae   +    Motivation Letter    +   Certificates / Verifications / References

Too difficult for you? – no problem, because

YOU KNOW  THE ONE WHO KNOWS – HDB-Agents

You pay us only your attention.

There are also basic requirements, rules and regulations before going abroad for working or for vocational training.

The first requirement is the knowledge of German language.
There are many schools in the Philippines that teach foreign languages, including German.
Depending on your desired occupation, different knowledge levels are required: A1, A2, B1 and B2. In most cases, B2 is required, but there are also exceptions, for example for vocational trainees – where B1 is sufficient, or for STEM professions – where a work permit can also be issued without language skills or with English language skills, if the working language will be English and recognized by the German Labor Authority.
For doctors, where good communication skills are a prerequisite, German language skills at level C1 to C2 are required by the German Labor Authority.

Each individual language course lasts 4 to 8 weeks and must be completed with an exam that meets the requirements of the GER (Common European Reference Framework). A diploma to present to the German Embassy will be issued. Without GER diploma no visa.

Ask HDB Agents for details.

It is also possible to complete a free qualification course in Germany before starting work. In this case, you can already enter Germany with language skills at level B1, as this opportunity also includes a free B2 course.

If your target is just to work as a nursing helper this is also possible of course. However at any time you can study to become a recognized registered nurse.

Ask HDB Agents for details.

IT specialists:

Here, too, the professional recognition is always evaluated according to the quality of education and professional experience. On the other hand, specialists with little knowledge of the language are also given the opportunity to take up employment in Germany. Ask HDB Agents for details.

Now that you know what you want to do in Germany, let’s talk about how you have to apply and what needs to be considered.
It starts with registering at POEA – Philippine Overseas Employment Authoritieshttps://www.dmw.gov.ph/archives/appointment_online.html

Basic requirements.
In the Philippines, every professional who wants to work abroad first of all needs a POEA membership / registration. Registration can be done online or at the local office. Everyone who tries to find a job abroad must apply at a POEA-licensed Philippine recruitment agency and will only receive an exit permit OEC – Overseas Employment Certificate – by POEA if the placement is successful
Direct hiring without commissioning of a POEA-lisenced recruiting agency is allowed, in case the applicant knows a German employer or was able to find the best suited by himself.

In any case, the most successful method – for both, job seekers and employers – for the applicant is to make personal efforts to find an employer best suited to his or her personal knowledge and skills, and also the environment plays a role, such as the distance to the workplace, most convenient transport connections and much more.
For the German Employment Agency BA Bundesagentur für Arbeit, the direct search for an employer by the applicant himself is a prerequisite, even in the case of loss of employment through no fault of the job seeker. Those who do not permanently prove that they have unsuccessfully tried to find a job with various companies will not continue to receive the unemployment benefits to which they are legally entitled.
No recruiting office – neither in Germany, nor in the Philippines – can even begin to replace the advantages of applying directly for a job.
Since this system does not exist in the Philippines, POEA has found a good solution where only employment contracts that comply with certain regulations are recognized, and where German employers are also screened by Philippine overseas authorities.
The possibility of an online interview also sounds good, but can also only be a makeshift solution.
However, all this cannot be equated with the quality of a direct application.

OWWA – Overseas Workers Welfare Administration https://owwa.gov.ph/ – membership is required
PEOS – free Pre Employment Orientation Seminar is mandatory.
PDOS – free Pre Departure Orientation Seminar – is mandatory.

In order to obtain approval from POEA for a job , an employment contract signed by both contracting parties must be presented. This will only be accepted if it meets the prescribed POEA requirements. The travel expenses must be borne by the employer. A certificate from the Philippine consulate responsible for the intended place of work in Germany must also be submitted, stating that the employer named in the employment contract has been checked without any objections having arisen.
an OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) from the POEA is required for departure. Without an OEC, the immigration officials at the airport will refuse to leave the country.

Mandatory fees must be paid
POEA processing fee is 100 USD.
Philhealth, https://www.philhealth.gov.ph/ first yearly payment is about2,400 PHP, depending  on salary
SSS registration https://www.sss.gov.ph/ must no more be proven.
OWWA membership  fee is 25 USD also in order to secure Balik Manggagawa Certificate (for vacationers).
Please note that all prices quoted here are not guaranteed by us and are subject to change without prior notice.

Wonderful – now you have a great job in Germany and the right language diploma, then you can order your plane ticket now.
But wait – that’s not going to happen that quickly.

Filipinos first need the right visa from the German Embassy Manila – https://manila.diplo.de/ph-en – with a temporary work and residence permit to enter Germany to start work.
But first you need an appointment for the personal application

Actually not a big deal, because you first must ask online for an appointment to personally submit the application for a so-called “national visa” at the German Embassy in Manila. You must request the appointment directly online and then you have to appear at the German Embassy on the date specified. There you hand in the signed application with all the required documents and a valid passport. If there is nothing wrong with your objective check, you can go home and wait for your passport with the visa stamped on it to be delivered by courier mail. Ask HDB Agents for details.
Here you will get your appointment to submit your application – https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ph/en. And there is also the application form.
Documents that you have to present to the embassy:
Proof of identity: original PSA birth certificate, police clearance certificate, 2 passport photos
Evidence of education: school certificates (elementary/high school/college/university/technical university/maritime university), anabin recognition of the school, anabin recognition of the course of study.
The processing time can be shortened if prior approval from the ZAV – Central Employment and Specialist Office – is submitted when the application is submitted.

Now you can order your flight ticket and then set off.
But don’t forget the OEC, because you have to show it at the airport – as mentioned before: No departure without an OEC.
That was the norm now – but not everything in life always runs normally, it can happen that the embassy official who ultimately decides on the visa issuance has something to complain about. You will then receive a message and have the opportunity to rectify the deficiencies, but rarely it can also happen that the visa is rejected. In this case you have the opportunity to appeal.
